Willis Family Dentistry — Fishersville, VA

insurance & financing

Insurance and paying for care, in plain English.

Dental billing earns its bad reputation elsewhere; here it runs on three rules. Your coverage is verified before your visit, not discovered after. Treatment estimates come in writing before work happens. And when a number is big, the front desk helps you plan it instead of just presenting it.

Fastest start: call 540-885-8037 with your insurance card in hand and the front desk will begin verification — you'll know what your plan actually does before you're ever in a chair.

Insurance, in practice

We're in-network with Delta Dental, Cigna, United Concordia. We also accept most other major PPO plans — including Aetna, MetLife, Guardian, BCBS, Humana, Principal — and file those claims on your behalf. Network participation can change, so we verify your specific plan before your first visit.

We provide a written estimate before treatment. Insurance benefits are estimates rather than guarantees of payment, and we'll contact you if the insurer's response differs materially from the estimate.

Claims get filed by us, paperwork gets chased by us, and when an insurer sends a creatively worded denial, we translate it for you. One calendar note worth underlining: annual benefits you haven't used disappear on December 31, and a single call to the front desk will tell you what remains on yours.

CareCredit for larger plans

Larger treatment plans can be financed through CareCredit, a credit line designed specifically for healthcare costs, dental included. Patients who qualify can choose promotional periods of 6, 12, 18, or 24 months at zero interest — so a big written estimate becomes a predictable monthly amount.

Apply online before your visit or in the office; the front desk will walk you through whether it fits your situation before anything is scheduled.

No insurance? The Virginia Dental Club

If you don't carry dental insurance, our in-house membership covers your routine care — cleanings, exams, X-rays — for a flat annual fee, with member pricing on most other services. No deductible, no waiting period, no claim forms.

Its own page has the numbers and the fine print, and the front desk can price your household in one call. Either way, uninsured patients get the same rule as everyone else here: a written estimate before treatment begins.

Questions we hear in the chair

Are you in-network with my plan?
We're in-network with Delta Dental, Cigna, and United Concordia, and we accept most other major PPO plans. Call with your card handy and the front desk will verify your specific plan before your visit.
What if my plan is out-of-network?
We can usually still see you — we'll provide an itemized claim form you or we can submit to your carrier for reimbursement, and you'll have a written estimate before any treatment either way.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, through CareCredit: financing for larger treatment plans, with promotional zero-interest periods available to qualifying patients. Before you sign anything, the front desk will sit down and run the actual numbers with you under the current terms.
Can I use my HSA or FSA here?
Yes. Most HSA and FSA accounts count dental care as a qualified expense, and if your account runs on a deadline, the front desk can schedule payments around it.
