Willis Family Dentistry — Fishersville, VA
Dr. Brian Podbesek, DDS, lead dentist at Willis Family Dentistry in Fishersville

lead dentist

Dr. Brian Podbesek, DDS.

Dr. Podbesek has led the Fishersville office on Medical Park Drive since 2014 — a decade of general, family, cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry for Augusta County, including full-arch All-on-X reconstruction. He is accepting new patients.

When Dr. Willis needed someone to care for the patients who gave him his start, this is who he called — his close friend and dental-school classmate. Ten years on, that trust is the quiet engine of this practice.

Training

Charleston, West Virginia is where Dr. Podbesek was born and grew up, and he stayed in-state for his education: West Virginia University's honors program, a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, and a magna cum laude finish in 2007. The WVU School of Dentistry granted his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2011. From there he spent a residency year at the University of New Mexico — hospital, pediatric, and implant dentistry layered on top of advanced procedures — and completed his certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry there in 2012.

How he practices

You'll get plain talk here. Dr. Podbesek walks you through what he sees, what your options are, and what each will and won't do — then puts the plan and its costs in writing before anything starts. The practice's founding standard applies to every visit: be gentle, be honest, and only touch something you can improve.

His restorative range runs from single fillings and crowns through dental implants and full-arch All-on-X reconstruction, planned in-house with CBCT 3D imaging and the practice's iTero digital workflow. Cosmetic cases, Invisalign, and everyday family dentistry share the same chair and the same unhurried approach.

Memberships and community

Dr. Podbesek holds memberships in four professional organizations: the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Shenandoah Valley Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Away from the operatory he's an outdoorsman — biking, fishing, and camping across the Shenandoah Valley in summer, skiing in winter, and following his West Virginia Mountaineers year-round.
