What a visit at our Fishersville office actually feels like.
Calm, modern, never rushed. You'll find us at 41 S Medical Park Dr, Suite #100, Fishersville, VA 22939 — on the Augusta Health campus, with dedicated parking right at the door: no hospital decks, no meters, no wandering for a spot. If you've been to Augusta Health for anything else, you already know the way.
You'll be greeted by name, your forms will be ready if you registered online, and you won't sit forty-five minutes past your appointment time — we don't double-book.
Your visit: modern dentistry at a walking pace
Your hygienist walks you through what's on the schedule before anything starts. Digital X-rays and your iTero scan go up on the monitor next to you in full color, with plain-language explanations of anything worth discussing — you see exactly what we see, instead of taking our word for it.
The iTero scan is the most-commented-on part of a first visit: a small wand, a few minutes, no goopy impressions, and a 3D model of your bite you can rotate and examine together. Dr. Podbesek comes in for the exam after the hygienist's work is done, your questions are welcome at any point, and you hear the full plan before any treatment is scheduled. There is no commission for getting you to say yes today.
Before you go: a written plan, in plain language
If follow-up work is needed, you leave with a written treatment plan: what's recommended, why, what each option is estimated to cost, and what your insurance is expected to cover. You'll hear priority versus optional — what can wait a year and what shouldn't — and the trade-offs of each path. No mystery charges, no quotes that change at checkout.
Scheduling happens at the front desk on your way out, or online later if a busy week is in the way — kids' carpools, a class schedule, an Augusta Health shift. Text and email reminders keep visits from slipping off your radar.
The values behind it
Total transparency: you see what we see, hear the cost before work begins, and leave with a plan in writing. However long it's been since your last visit, you'll be met with a plan, not a lecture. And that plan is built around your goals, your timeline, and the kind of patient you actually are — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
The dentist who writes your plan is the person who answers for it — not a formula, not a quota. Nobody here is handed a number to hit.
Questions we hear in the chair
- Where do I park?
- In the dedicated lot right outside our door at 41 S Medical Park Drive, on the Augusta Health campus. No parking decks, no meters — from I-81, take Exit 222.
- Will I be kept waiting?
- Not as policy — we don't double-book, so your appointment time is your appointment time. Register online ahead and check-in takes a couple of minutes.
- Will I be pressured to accept treatment?
- No. The complete plan — written down, costs estimated — comes before anything goes on the schedule, and 'let me think it over' is a perfectly good response here.
