New Patients · Fishersville

Infection control.

Trust starts with the basics. Here’s how we keep every operatory on Medical Park Drive safe for you, your kids, and the team that cares for you.

Universal precautions protect both you and our team. Every dental office in Virginia is required to follow them, and we take that floor seriously — the operatories at the Fishersville office are set up around three federal standards you can look up yourself.

  • OSHA — the Occupational Safety & Health Administration rules that govern bloodborne pathogen exposure, PPE, and workplace hazard controls.
  • CDC — the Centers for Disease Control guidelines for infection prevention in dental healthcare settings.
  • EPA — the Environmental Protection Agency’s rules for surface disinfectants and biohazard waste handling.

Standard Practice

What it looks like in your visit.

Gloves and masks, every patient

Your provider changes gloves and dons fresh PPE between patients without exception. Hand hygiene happens in front of you on the way in and again on the way out — see what the rest of your visit feels like.

Surface disinfection

Countertops, chairs, lights, and any surface that may have been touched are wiped down with EPA-registered surface disinfectants between every appointment.

Autoclave-sterilized instruments

Every reusable instrument — including dental handpieces — is processed through an autoclave that uses high-pressure steam to kill bacteria and viruses. Sterilized trays stay sealed until the moment we open them for you.

Single-use whenever possible

Needles, suction tips, prophy cups, gauze, polishing brushes — anything designed to be disposed of after one patient is opened in front of you and discarded after use.

Privacy & HIPAA

Your record stays yours.

The same rigor we apply to physical sterilization carries over to your medical and dental records. We follow HIPAA privacy and security rules end-to-end — your chart, imaging, scans, and treatment history are stored in a HIPAA-compliant practice management system, and we don’t share them without your written authorization.

A printed copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices is available at the front desk any time you’d like one. If you have a question about how your information is handled, ask any team member — you’ll get a straight answer.

Ask Anything

The more you know, the better.

If you’d like to see how we run sterilization, watch us set up an operatory, or ask about a specific protocol, just tell us. The best defense against any concern is a clear answer, and we’re happy to give you one.
