Meet Dr. Chung
Born in South Korea, Dr. Chung moved to the U.S. at the age of 8 and grew up in Blacksburg,
Virginia. Dr. Chung attended Virginia Tech to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with a minor
in Chemistry. After graduation, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts to work as a Research
Technician in the Gastroenterology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital.
Afterwards, she pursued a Master’s degree in Theology studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological

especially those with limited access to oral health care. During her studies, she volunteered at
Homeless shelters, medical mission trips, churches, and various non-profit organizations, which
fueled her passions in dentistry even further.
With the wide range of experiences, she pursued her dental studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
Dr. Chung is a member of American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Association, and Virginia Dental Association.
