PORCELAIN VENEERS
Redesign Your Smile and Fix Damaged, Uneven Teeth
You may have imperfections in your smile that cause you embarrassment. An enhanced smile can empower you to live life to the fullest, and Dr. Willis wants to help you put yourself first. Cosmetic dentistry helps many patients transform their smiles, and through them transform their lives. Porcelain veneers are an integral part of cosmetic dentistry. Many of our patients desire more attractive smiles, and porcelain veneers can help them achieve their goals.
Dr. Willis loves enhancing smiles with the laws of the golden ratio. He is passionate about perfecting the angles and symmetry on every face, and he has worked closely for years with the nation’s leading master ceramists to sculpt the most artistic and appealing smile possible.
Porcelain veneers can correct a variety of dental issues. Do you have a chipped tooth that bothers you? Do your teeth show discolorations that distract from your smile? Do you worry your teeth are too long, too short, too far apart or too crowded? Dental veneers can address these issues and give you a beautiful smile. The process of getting porcelain veneers is perfectly safe. You’ll first need a consultation with Dr. Willis to make sure you’re a good candidate for porcelain veneers. Your teeth should be healthy and free of decay to receive porcelain veneers.
About Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are made from porcelain, as you might imagine. They are made to match the color of your teeth, and their translucency adds to their natural appearance. Veneers can be made of other materials, but porcelain is most desirable because of its strength and appearance. The veneers are thin, attractive laminates that Dr. Willis applies to the front of your teeth. Once applied and secured, your veneers will act as normal teeth, and you’ll be able to chew, speak and smile exactly as you did before. The porcelain will not be an irritant to your gums. Dr. Willis uses the most innovative techniques to bring you the strongest, longest lasting results.
The Porcelain Veneer Process
Once you choose to enhance your smile with porcelain veneers, Dr. Willis will prepare your teeth. Then he or a member of our team will take an impression of your smile. Our skilled ceramists will fabricate a custom set of veneers just for you. We will apply a trial smile of provisional veneers that are nearly as beautiful while the custom porcelain veneers are created, which doesn’t take too long. This approach allows you to ‘preview’ the aesthetics and natural color.
At your next appointment Dr. Willis will apply your custom veneers and bond them to your teeth. You’ll leave your second appointment with a picture-perfect smile.
Your veneers will function just like your normal teeth, and the porcelain will naturally resist stains. Continue to floss daily and brush twice daily to keep your veneers looking fabulous.
